Change of environmental sound from early autumn to late autumn

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The influence on the ecosystem by a change into natural environment by global warming and an artificial environment is large. Tone quality of the environmental sound generated by small animals in old environment becomes different by mixing new kinds of animal. To examine the quality, we records environmental sound generated by insects in our garden in the suburbs of Yokohama from the early fall to late autumn. Because there is no change in the remarkable environmental sound in the observation in a short term, the observation in a long term is necessary. The sound of a typical insect is generated by a truljalia hibinonis that is introduced species from China up to 80 years ago. Sound pressure level and the song quality of insect depend on the air temperature in the measuring environment. This paper describes the results of measuring the relation between the sound pressure level of song of insects and the air temperature.
