(in English) Experiment of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy was performed to investigate its applicability to an analysis of hydrogen contained in zircaloy metal. Plasma was generated in the ambient gas of helium or argon. The background emission from hydrogen can be suppressed by increasing the ambient gas pressure. The detection limit of 57.6ppm was obtained at the ambient Ar gas pressure of 4.0×10^3Pa.
