Pulse Compression Characteristics for Chirp Signal by Inverse Filter

(in English) Characteristics of the pulse compression using inverse filter is studied for Frank code and chirp signal. The Fourier transform for the inverse filter is given by , where is the Fourier transform of desired output waveform and is the Fourier transform of the chirp code or Frank code, . Frequency characteristics has to be considered not to make divergent, when the frequency characteristics have zero points. Improvement factors and the Doppler Characteristics are then calculated and these results are shown. They are also compared with the cases of matched filters. The effectiveness of the chirp pulse compression is proved by making SAR image by the range pulse compression with inverse filter.
