Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The landmine visualization system based on complex-valued neural networks is expected to realize the detection of plastic landmines, which task has been difficult so far. Most of all, it is important to extract the feature vectors which reflect the landmine feature as cleearly as possible. We propose the utilization of local texture in the frequency domain as the feature vector, just like we do in the spatial domain. This method uses the correlation between adjacent point values in the frequency domain, which method originates from the human visual system. Experimental results show the performance improvement of landmine visualization by using the proposed frquency-domain local correlation method.
