A Study for Power Grid Simulator by using GPU

(in English) The rapidity of technical innovation of GPU is much faster than CPU and above Moore’s law. Recently, there are some examples to solve huge calculation problems by using GPUs in various areas. Meanwhile, with the shrinking of transistors in VLSIs, we cannot neglect problems which are IR-drop, electro migration, and heat in the semiconductor area. Those problems need huge calculation time to solve too. We aim at high speed and high accuracy simulation by using GPU on power grid. We examine to make the environment of power grid simulation through the experimentation using FE method on GPU.
