Eye-gaze detection based on the position of the cornea curvature center using two near-infrared light sources

(in English) We propose the new gaze detection method based on the position of the cornea curvature center using two near-infrared lights and a video camera. This method has advantages in the positional accuracy and the measurement range with less calibration effort compared with methods with the pupil detection. For detecting the gaze direction, we use the line through ``eye-ball center" and ``cornea curvature center". The position of the eye-ball center is obtained from three lines through the cornea curvature center when three fixation targets are sequentially presented. The position of the cornea curvature center is obtained from two light images reflected on the cornea. We evaluated the accuracy of the gaze position with the optical glass sphere. In the result, the mean error of the horizontal angle was 0.268deg in the range of ±40deg and that of vertical angle was 0.287deg in the range of ±30deg.
