Improvement in detection of voluntary body movements by a control-interface switch using 3-axis geomagnetic sensor

(in English) A switch is employed by a person with severe motor disabilities, in order to operate computers. He/she operates the switch by using his/her residual functions. In earlier study ,we developed new switch that employed 3-axis geomagnetic sensor. The sensor is small and light. The sensor’s sensitivity is high. The advantages of our switch are the high sensitivity to detect various voluntary body movements, and the easy positioning between the switch and his/her body. A problem is that our switch is difficult to discriminate between voluntary body movements and involuntary body movements. To solve the problems, we proposed a detection of voluntary body movements by waveform pattern. This paper described the summary of our detection and discrimination accuracy between voluntary body movements and involuntary body movements by our detection
