| (in English) | It is important for researchers to perform retrieving and reviewing the relevant papers focusing on their key components, such as “Aim”, “Method”, “Background”, “Result” and others, and understanding how they are related. Currently, researchers need to spend a lot of time retrieving, reading and reviewing papers, because of inefficient database retrieval methodologies. The vast majority of existing algorithms for retrieving relevant papers target the whole paper as the smallest unit for their analyses. For this reason, contemporary algorithms are of limited usefulness, and are unable to perform retrieving the relevant papers focusing on the key components. To solve this problem, this research proposes a new retrieval method, which we will refer to below as the extraction and visualization method. The extraction and visualization in this research allows users to input the name of a focus paper, as well as component-specific criteria for identifying related papers. This research develops the support system for researchers to comprehensive surveys which understand the relationships among papers by their key components. This paper also describes the results of fundamental evaluations of the proposed new method. |
