Recently, the wireless sensor networks have gained much attention to various applications. However, many implementation issues still remain, especially, the battery life of each sensor node does not meet the requirement of many applications in the current implementation. In this paper, we investigate these current issues by performing the experiments in the open field and glasshouse based on ZigBee development kits. Moreover, the necessity of collaborative communications in the wireless sensor networks will be addressed. |
