Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It is necessary to control media stream by coordinating functions between session control and transport control to provide like a PSTN service with media path switching in NGN (Next Generation Network). This paper focuses on early media that provided by the network to the calling party as an example of media stream switching in NGN, and clarifies the issue based on NGN specific condition, e.g., media capability and network architecture. It also proposes several models for the media stream switching based on patterns of functional assignment of user equipment and network, and evaluates them.
