Performance Analysis of Successive Receiver Architecture with Virtual Channel Detection for MIMO Spatial Multiplexing

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) MIMO spatial multiplexing system requires same number of receiving antennas or more than transmitting antennas.
Our proposed successive receiver can double the number of receiving antennas virtually.
Therefore the receiver can decode transmitted signals even if the number of transmitting antennas exceeds that of receiving antennas.
In this manuscript, the effects of factors in the proposed receiver on system error rate are evaluated.
In addition, we propose phase sequence coding in order to improve performance of the receiver.
Then, it is evaluated that phase sequence coding can improve bit error rate performance of the proposed receiver.
