Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) There is wind power generation as one of the methods using new energy. It is paid attention as no worry of the dryness of energy, and an environment-friendly power generation method of not exhausting carbon dioxide. Wind power generation has the fault that the output changes greatly by the wind. In order to generate the power efficiently without depending on the change of the wind, the aerogenerator equipped with the power assistance system was developed. However, the power of an attached battery is consumed in this method with an intermittent drive. Then, if the power assistance is able to be controlled by the necessary velocity information of the wind forecast, it thought that power consumption will be suppressed. In this research, it aims the judgment of the assistance necessity from the result of forecasting the velocity of the wind by using the Self- Organizing Map. In these forecast experiments there are two ways. One is by the meteorogical data of the average of one hour that the Meteorological Agency observed. Other is by the meteorogical data of every one minute observed in our laboratory. It is shown that there will be a possibility that the velocity of the wind will be forecast by using SOM.
