FDTD Analysis of Lattice Structure Metamaterials
Yujiro Kushiyama, Toru Uno, Takuji Arima (Tokyo Univ. of Agri and Tech.) AP2008-206
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, the metamaterials have been applied into the fields of the antenna and microwave enginnering, however, many of the proposed metamaterials have 2-dimensional structure. The 2-dimensional metamaterial structure shows anisotropic property, therefore it is difficult to apply to more general problem. In this paper, we will propose the metamaterial which has a isotopic property by using conductor sphere lattice and conductor wire. The FDTD method was used for analyzing EM field in these structure. The validity of the calculated dispersion will be confirmed by comparing with transmit coefficient of the structures.
