Japanese Red Cross Society has been employing Nucleic acid Amplification Test (NAT) to secure safety of a blood supply. However, NAT doesn't detect when the degree of viral contamination of the blood is low. Therefore, we uniquely contrived metal-coated hollow fiber membrane. We examined a basic examination for feline calicivirus (FCV) of RNA virus such as hepatitis C virus and human immunodeficiency virus. In this report, we examined to improve a detection of sensitivity. As a result, we could detect from a specimen more than 100 PFU/mL of concentration of the virus. |
