Study on high power SOFC stack at NTT

(in English) We have developed 1.5kW class Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) stack. High performance anode supported cells, which have a diameter of 120mm, are used in this stack. The stability of a single cell stack at high fuel utilization rate and high current densities was measured. The stack, which is composed of 40 cells, provided an electrical conversion efficiency of 63.9% and an output of 1560W. In this paper, the detail of the properties of the single cell stack and the 40-cells stack is reported.
