Sensor nodes localization using measurements of relative distances including outliers
Yuko Toshimitsu, Hidekata Hontani (Nagoya Institute of Tech.) USN2008-63
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this article, we propose a method for localizing sensor nodes, which include both static and mobile ones. For the localization, we employ the non-parametric belief propagation. Experimental results show that this method can continuously improve the accuracy of the estimated locations every time a new mobile node walks through the static ones. In addition, we report on the robustness of the method against to outliers of measurements. The results show that a method based on an external particle improves the robustness.
