A study on developing Trajectory-Maps using P-type Fourier Discriptor

(in English) In this paper we propose a new method of analyzing pedestrian traffic data with location accuracy free and route free. Pedestrian traffic data are collected through mobile phones that can determine their location using GPS-based, Cell-based or WiFi-based technique although those three techniques are different characteristics about location accuracy and availability. For example, accuracy of GPS-based technique depends on the angle of elevation and is much better than Cell-based technique although availability is much narrower. This paper shows the way to extract trajectories from users’ traffic data, which includes various size of error rate with using P-type Fourier Descriptor and basic clustering technique instead of map matching technique that most of location-based services are based on. We describe location accuracy free and route free in detail.
