A new method for region-of-interest image reconstruction in x-ray CT

(in English) Region-of-interest (ROI) image reconstruction realizes low dose examinations in an x-ray CT. We proposed a new method for the ROI image reconstruction. In this method we estimated truncated regions in the projection data with the help of measured projections which were multiplied with a confidential weight. Moreover, in the image domain we introduced a correction map which was based on an image reconstructed with truncated projection data. The validity of this method was confirmed with simulations.
