[Keynote Address] Recent Developments in Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Analysis

(in English) Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was created in the early 1950s to assess the ability of radar systems to detect airplanes and is now accepted widely as the most meaningful methodology for evaluation of imaging systems and computer aids in diagnostic medicine. A variety of methodological tools has been developed during the past several decades to meet the particular needs of medical imaging. This lecture will provide an overview of those tools and indicate the advantages that they provide.
