Optimization of aperture-field distribution based on phase retrieval method

(in English) This paper presents directivity synthesis for an aperture antenna based on the phase-retrieval method and also shows simplified design procedure for a reflectarray antenna with contoured beam characteristics. As a design example, a reflectarray antenna for covering an elliptical area is designed at 45 GHz. The aperture phase distributions and its beam shape are evaluated by near-field antenna measurement and also are discussed numerically and experimentally.
