An Estimation Method for High Frequency Permittivity by Scattering Wave

(in English) To evaluate the permittivity for high frequency signal, some measurement systems have been developed and used practically. In the modulated scatterer method which was studied to measure the electromagnetic field, the permittivity of the scatterer relates quantitatively with the electric field of the scattering wave from it. Therefore, the permittivity of the dielectric scatterer in the high frequency field could be estimated by measuring the scattering field strength so as to expose the scatterer in the known field. In this paper, the relationship between the permittivity of the dielectric scatterer and the scattering field strength yielded by the scatterer is denoted to estimate the permittivity from the measured value. Then, the estimated permittivity of 70.1 at 1 GHz was estimated experimentally by the relationship for the pure water which is filled in the spherical enclosure.
