A Basic Study and Evaluations of Parallelized Low-density Generator-matrices Codes

(in English) This paper describes the parallelized decoding of low-density generator-matrices codes for high through rate. LDGM is a family of low-density parity-check(LDPC) codes, which proposed by Gallager and developed by Mackay and Richardson. Because LDGM codes is consist of a simple structure of encoder/decoder and its length is easy to scale, it is used very commonly as a FEC scheme at IP transmissions. This paper shows a method for getting the decoder so fast to transmit the very wide band applications by dividing the decode processing to two passes. One is the LDGM check node scanning, which scan the H matrix and decide the order of solution by check equation. Second is the XOR calculation for correcting lost symbols. In this methods, it is easy and immediate to know which lost symbol can be recovered and the number of it. Using this method, hybride-ARQ method can be efficiently applied. Before the XOR process of correcting symbols that costs much, it enable to assign check equation to the parallelized process.
