Noise annoyance is a good measure of comfort in daily activities. Comfortable condition cannot be created without to know individual acceptable noise levels. A logistic prediction model for measuring them was constructed in this paper. First, an annoyance scale with seven words was obtained by 2940 pairs of measured LAeq, (5 min) and annoyance from subjects in 14 main cities in Japan. Second, the distributions of cumulative probability about frequencies of each word of the annoyance scale that correspond to LAeq, (5 min) were obtained as distributions of individual relative sensitivity. To approximate the distributions as continuous functions, each logistic function was used. Finally, the logistic prediction model was constructed using the relationship between the seven points annoyance scale and the logistic functions based on regression variables that connect the annoyance scale and LAeq, (5 min). |
