A Random Beamforming Technique in Multiuser Multi-Antenna OFDM Systems for Large System Capacity and Fairness Among Users

(in English) We propose a random beamforming technique in multiuser multi-antenna orthogonal frequency division mulplexing (OFDM) systems for a large system capacity and fairness among users.
In the proposed technique, we allocate several beams on each subcarrier to users based on signal-to-interference pluse noise ratio (SINR).
We also allocate all the remaining beams on each subcarrier by the proportional fairness (PF) algorithm.
After allocating all the beams, we select the beams and the corresponding subcarriers where each user with low capacity has his highest SINR.
We use the random unitary matrices corresponding to the selected beams and subcarriers on next time.
Allocating the beams as the above, the proposed technique can achieve high system capacity and fairness among users.
We show that the proposed technique can achieve good trade-off between system capacity and fairness among users by changing the number of beams on each subcarrier that we allocate to users based on SINR.
We also show that compared to the conventional technique, the proposed techique achieves high system capacity with the same variance of user capacity.
