An Analysis of Constant-Current Bi-directional DC-DC Converter with Digital Control

(in English) Lately, digital controlled switching mode power supplies has been drawing attention because of possibility of various controls. And now, we have proposed the bi-directional DC-DC converter in which constant current control is possible with digital control. In this paper, we have adopted the proposed system to an application which is high power light-emitting diode (LED) streetlight lighting system with photovoltaic modules. This bidirectional DC-DC converter has the battery charging mode by the constant current control and the high power LED driving mode. The analysis of the circuitry and some characteristics has been done with simulation results and experimental results.
