IEEE 802.11n is throughput enhancement of previous WLAN standard such as IEEE 802.11a and g. The modes of operation can be enabled to reach much higher throughputs with a maximum throughput of at least 100 Mbps. In this paper we introduce the high throughput MAC system that can reach more than 100 Mbps to support IEEE 802.11n standard. Our propose schemes are using 32 bits data bus interface at 75 MHz clock rate and migration some parts of MAC from software platform to hardware platform to minimize MAC overhead. |
