Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Strong demands exist for liquid manipulators of n$\it l$ to p$\it l$ order in chemical and biology fields. And the SAW based liquid manipulation system has been proposed for the purpose. For reducing required electrical power, the SAW transducer should be highly efficient.Since excitation properties change with the environmental temperature, the operation frequency should be adjusted to maximize the excitation efficiency automatically. This paper describes the oscillator circuit where a SAW delay line composed of a single-phase-unidirectional-transducer (SPUDT) and a conventional IDT is us as a feedback element.First, the SPUDT was studied, designed and fabricated for this purpose. Next, the oscillator circuit are designed and applied to the liquid manipulation.
