Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) For new services of wireless communication networks, the concern with
real-time data transmission services has recently been increasing.
Real-time network applications may increase owing to the broadband
capability of wireless communication systems. In addition, for new machine-to-machine communications in the future ubiquitous network society, it is necessary to achieve real-time communications services. In order to realize the next generation real-time communications , ”Ultra Low-Latency Mobile Networks”, whose target is a unidirectional end to end latency of 10 milliseconds per IP packet, has been proposed. However, the present wireless access systems have some bottleneck for low-latency network. One of them is a latency between the mobile terminals and the base station. Therefore, we intend to study a new transmission method in order to achieve the low-latency wireless access networks. To realize ultra low-latency mobile networks, it is necessary not only to improve the bit-rate at plysical layer but to improve the bit-rate including Automatic Repeat reQuest(ARQ) at link layer. It has been proposed that an adaptive error recovery scheme in which the combination of Selective Repeat(SR) ARQ and Stop-and-Wait(SW) ARQ is adopted at the link layer whereas an adaptive FEC scheme is adopted at the physical layer (called ”adaptive SR-SW-ARQ/FEC”). In this paper we study an adaptive error recovery scheme using Tubo code and MAP decode on adaptive SR-SW-ARQ/FEC.
