Analysis of convergence field of acoustical lens for micro-ultrasound probe and measurement of convergence field using the scale model

(in English) Recently, acoustical lens has been to use the development for measurement instrument in underwater acoustics field. For example, acoustical lens was used by real-time acoustical imaging system to detect the object in underwater. In this paper, we propose to use the acoustical lens with the head of micro-probe for ultrasonic diagnostic system. In order to investigate about the convergence field of acoustical lens for the development of US probe, we measure the acoustical field used by precision measurement system. However, it is difficult to measure the acoustical field by mille-size lens. Therefore, we measure the acoustical field used by four times scale size model. And, we calculate sound field used by finite-difference time-domain method because of confirm the measurement data in this study. As the results, the distance of focal point and beam width on focal point are good agreement with experiment and calculation result, respectively.
