Determination of Gain for Double-Ridge Guide Horn Antenna on Basis of Phase Center Location

(in English) EMI antennas used above 1GHz are generally calibrated in an anechoic chamber using the three-antenna method. The distance between antenna apertures is often used for aperture antennas as the antenna separation distance based on the three-antenna method. In this paper, the phase center location is used to determine the gain for double-ridge guide horn antennas. The phase center of a ridge horn antenna is calculated using the finite integral method, and then the gain is measured by using the distance between phase centers obtained from this calculation. Measured results of gain on the basis of phase center locations are in good agreement with theoretical values.
