Supporting methods of a tear drop-shaped antenna element

(in English) We have developed a tear drop-shaped antenna combined spherical and biconical antenna elements, in order to obtain the radiated wideband emission source having directivity specified by CISPR16-1-4Ed.2 in the frequency region of above 1GHz. In this paper, supporting methods of the tear drop-shaped antenna are examined theoretically by using the Finite integration method. As the results, it became clear as follows; (i) It is possible to improve the frequency characteristics of radiated electric field for the tear drop-shaped antenna without a supporting part, by supporting the tear drop-shaped antenna by the proposed shaped supporting cylinder, (ii) Teflon is the best material as the supporting part among Teflon, Polystyrene and Acrylic, because dielectric constant of Teflon is the smallest, (iii) When the thickness of the proposed shaped supporting cylinder became 30mm from 5mm, E-plane radiation pattern is improved atθ=0°and 180°, and the tear drop-shaped antenna with the proposed shaped supporting cylinder can satisfy the directivity specified by CISPR16-1-4Ed.2 in the frequency range from 1GHz to 6GHz.
