An improvement of the interest mining method based on a network reconfiguration

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In unstructured peer-to-peer (P2P) systems, it is necessary to retrieve enough information and reduce the number of query messages. For this necessity, Tan et al.[4] proposed the Interest Mining method for searching text information. In this method, each peer transmits query messages only to neighbors with interests similar to those of itself.
Therefore, the number of query messages can be reduced. However, each peer joins to the network by selecting neighbors at random. It often happens that each peer can not retrieve enough information. In this paper, we propose an improved method to resolve the problem of the Interest Mining method by a network reconfiguration. It is demonstrated by simulation evaluations that the proposed method provides better resolution for the problem.
