| (in English) | The purpose of this study is to quantify the skills of Kendo Shinai’s practice swing using an accelerometer which is attached to the head of a Shinai. In previous studies, motion analysis was conducted by high speed video recording, but it needed expensive equipments and took long time to process the data. Compared to that, the method using an accelerometer can process the data in very short time, so it can be beneficial for practical apprication such as a sport class in school. This evaluating system showed that the time from minimum (10% ) to maximum (90% ) acceleration of a Shinai can be the useful evaluation index to quantify the skills of practice swing. |
