Focusing Support Interface for Collaborative Learning Activity

(in English) In Web-based collaborative learning, learners cannot interact with others efficiently because of the limited communication means. In the real world, learners can grasp the learning situation based on the learning activities of individual learners such as making utterances, facing to other learners, taking memos, etc. In addition, learners focus on particular learners or their learning objects so as to acquire the interesting information effectively. In order to study collaboratively with others, it is important for learners to be able to observe the learning environment appropriately/effectively from the viewpoint of their focusing intentions brought by learning activities. In this paper, we propose a method of detecting the focusing target of a learner based on the learning activities. Also, the effective view change of the interface according to the focusing intention is addressed. From our experimental result, our method of focusing intention could detect 70% of focusing targets of learners correctly.
