This paper discusses a modeling framework for two-dimensional software reliability growth models (SRGMs) with program size which is known as one of the software complexity metrics. And then, we derive several software reliability assessment measures and parameter estimation method for an SRGM developed by following the basic assumptions of our modeling framework. In this paper, we also discuss an optimal software release problem based the two-dimensional SRGM. And we derive an optimal software release policy for a specific optimal software release problem. Finally, we show numerical examples of our model developed under the framework and the derived optimal software release policy by using an actual data. |
