Bootstrap Method for Pure P2P-VPN

(in English) VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a service that logically constructs a pseudo private line on the Internet. In conventional server/client VPNs, the increase of connected nodes brings about larger load to the VPN server. For avoiding this problem, P2P-VPN that uses peer-to-peer network technology has been proposed. In the peer-to-peer network, the participating nodes are dynamically changing due to their join or leave behaviors. Therefore, the users have to find their access point and configure their settings by themselves. This paper proposes a bootstrap method for pure P2P-VPN with DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System). The effectiveness of the proposed method is clarified by performance experiment on the Internet.
