Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Currently, the duplexers consisting of surface acoustic wave or film bulk acoustic resonators have been developed actively. Authors have already realized the 3.0×2.5×1.2 or 2.5×2.0×0.48mm3 size SAW duplexer for US-PCS which has a good temperature coefficient of frequency (TCF) by using the SH wave on flattened-SiO2/Cu/36~48°YX-LiTaO3 structure and Rayleigh wave on SiO2/Cu/120~128°YX-LiNbO3 structure. Generally, the surface of the SiO2 on the interdigital transducer (IDT) electrode fingers to be convex. However, this device’s reflection coefficient has been increased and the TCF and power durability have been improved by making the surface of the SiO2 on the IDT’s gap to be convex. In this paper, authors describe their calculation and their experimental results.
