A Study on Virtual Concatenation Path Management Method for Transmission OSS

(in English) To realize the operations support system (OSS) for managing networks efficiently, communications service providers refer to the network management information model based on the concept of TMN, recommended by the standardization organization related to the telecommunication such as ITU-T.
On the other hand, in the network which consists of transmission equipment using SDH technology, the concatenation technology is recommended for mapping and transmission of bigger frames than standard VC by ITU-T G.707.
This paper describes the path management information model to enable efficient management of the concatenation path in the transmission network OSS. It includes studies and evaluation followed: (1) Layering of VCAT itself in SDH layer, and information Modeling of VCAT by the concept of VC, (2) Considering the feature of VCAT, object classes reduction by one to one correspondence of CPT-to-TTP, (3) Object simplification utilized the expression of VCAT classification.
