A study on footstep detection in in-door environment

(in English) Recently, attention is being placed on the footstep analysis for various surveillance systems, for example a personal identification using footsteps. Accurate footstep detection is important to achieve these systems. This paper proposes the footstep detection technique based on the signal power, kurtosis and spectral intensity. These parameters focus on the characteristics of footsteps, i.e. an impact sound and a fricative. Moreover, we study a trend of proposed technique under noise environment.
