Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The make and break operation electric contacts has a simple function and structure. It is used widely for the make and break operations of an electric circuit. However, noise is generated at the breaking operation by various factors. For example, there is arc discharge in the high-power circuit and surge voltage in the inductive load circuit.
In this paper, the cause of noise generation is analyzed against the decrease of switching noise, and an electromagnetic relay is used for experimental target. The authors propose a transient current switch circuit that suppresses the rise of contact voltage and the load current change at the breaking operation. This paper reports the suppression of arc discharge and surge voltage at the breaking operation, in the case of an inductive load circuit of 50 V / 8 A, 84 mH using a transient current switch circuit.
