Efficient Routing Algorithms for Feedforward Output Buffer Queue Switch

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we study the Optical Feedforward Output Queue Switching network (FOQ) constructed by buffer less switches and fiber delay lines. To achieve a better packet loss probability performance, we adopt a new algorithm that split each burst into packets to transmit them and then allocate routing paths for each packet. We further propose a Burst integrity Guarantee Routing algorithm (BGR) that not only guarantees the integrity of bursts, but also gets a fair better packet loss probability performance. Our two algorithms are verified through extensive simulations.
