| (in English) | In molecular aggregates of liquid crystalline molecules, the electronic conduction tales place just as in the amorphuos and crystal phases of TPD and Pentacene having aromatic p-conjugate systems. The electronic conduction in the mesophase exhibits quite unique characteristics different from those in the amorphous and crystal phases. In this report, the charge carrier transport properties in mesophases are discussed from the organic semiconductor point of view, and furthermore, a recent topics of TFT applications with liquid crystalline materials are reviewed | |
