LiCoO2 was dispersed into toruene or 2 wt% NaPO3 aqueous solutions and milled with the slurries by a high-pressure wet-type jet mill. Performance of Li cells with the LiCoO2 was then estimated. Rate capability of the cell improved with a decrease in LiCoO2 diameter. The maximum value of the cell capacity ezisted at around 3μm diameter for the LiCoO2 prepared with an aqueous slurry. SEM measurements suggest that distribution of the LiCoO2 powder related with the cell performance. |
