Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The fundamental propertiies of polarization separation and
conversion for chiral photonic crystal waveguide are
examined numerically. The bandgap maps for the triangular
lattice of dielectric or air columns are different with
those for the square lattice of dielectric or air
columns. By using these properties, the polarization
separation and conversion devices are proposed in this
article. FDTD method with the PML absorbing boundary
condition is utilized.
