Image improvement of Autoradiography by Extended DOG Function

(in English) In this paper, we investigate the image quality improvement of autoradiography.
On the autoradiography, in general, the influences of radioactive rays and/or the scintillator would result into images.
Based on the the convolution model for the process of the autoradiography, an improvement function is derived from the deconvolution process.
In fact, through several computer experiments, it is shown that one can get several improvement functions and that improvement functions reveal the similar characteristic features of the DOG(Difference Of Gaussian) function as one of the function to decide by some parameters.
The purposes of the paper are that (i) the DOG function, whose parameter values are determined based on the pair of the autoradiograph and the original image, can improve the image quality of the target autoradiograph, and (ii) it is practical for general medical autoradiographs to apply the DOG function with a certain parameter values in the image quality improvement.
From computer experiments, in applying the DOG function into the autoradiographs, it is shown that we can find out the enlarged effect of the contrast on the edge region and the gray-level variation of the autoradiographs is reduced, improving the image quality by the direct observation.
