Temporal subtraction of whole body FDG-PET images using torso normal Standardized Uptake Value (SUV) model.

(in English) The purpose of this study is to develop a technique for the computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system to detect interval changes on FDG-PET images. The proposed method is based on the temporal subtraction technique. Temporal subtraction technique consists of a registration technique of two images. In the registration process, information of organ’s position are used. We applied this proposed method to 8 normal cases. Our result showed that our computerized scheme would be useful for detecting interval changes on FDG-PET images.
