A Study on Voice Transmission Using Infrared Wireless Communication in MRI Room

(in English) In this paper, we propose a voice transmission system with infrared
wireless communication around an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). The
MRI generally generates very huge acoustic noise due to the operational
principle, the voice transmission is consequently conducted through a
headset or a born conduction system. In the proposed system, the voice
is transmitted through a wireless headset with compact
loudspeakers and a microphone. The infrared wireless communication is
also used as a wireless carrier because the MRI generates intense
magnetic field. The proposed infrared wireless system is designed so
that the power consumption is as small as possible because of the
constraint of battery built in the headset. We therefore propose a
multiple access and a modulation technique suitable for the geometry of
the MRI room and examine the validity through BER properties.
