Maximum-Likelihood Method and Super-Resolution Method require the precise number of incident signals. Some conventional method estimates the number by comparison of eigenvalues of a covariance matrix, often causes miss-estimation in practical situation. We propose an estimation method of the number using signal space eigenvectors. In the proposed method, the number of signals is determined by the least squared errors between signal sub-spaces. Therefore, it doesnot require a threshold. Also, it can be applied to DOA estimation on an irregular array by introducing VESPA. |
