A Study on RFID System Using P2P Network
Ryouta Mikogai, Yoshihiro Niitsu (Shiba Univ) USN2007-90
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is an important element in achieving the ubiquitous services which can connect anyone to the network at any time. In future, by the standardization of RFID and reduction price of the tags, RFID tags are expected to be implemented to various things in our surroundings. However, the increasing of the RFID tags will also increase the tag-reading process, which expects huge amounts of communication data to be generated. Instead of server concentration type method that was used in the previous RFID system, this paper proposes the real-time RFID system, that the reader itself maintains and manages the information via P2P network, and distributes the load which had concentrated on the server. As a result, the effectiveness of the proposed system was shown, and the range of its applicability was clarified.
