Four-component Decomposition of Moving Object by High Speed Acquisition of Scattering Matrix

(in English) We have developed a fully polarimetric FM-CW Radar system that can acquire scattering matrix almost simultaneously in time.
Conventional polarimetric radar transmits, for example, H-polarized wave and receives H-and V-polarized signals.
Then the radar transmits V-polarized wave and receives the H-and V-polarized signals.
Therefore the radar switches transmitting polarization H and V, alternatively, which causes a small time-delay between H and V.
The delay sometimes causes adverse phase error in scattering matrix.
It is desirable to make the delay as small as possible to acquire scattering matrix simultaneously.
We have devised to cut the delay by using delay-line for simultaneous scattering matrix acquisition.
The delay-line type FM-CW radar was found to be effective in the simultaneous acquisition.
A laboratory experiment using four-component decomposition of scattering mechanism supported the advantage of the system.
